We are proud of being one of the pioneers of the light steel frame technology in KZN. True to our vision, we were at the forefront of change by introducing and marketing this modern and futuristic alternative way of building.

In 2OO7, we partnered with an established company but led on the marketing side whilst they provided the infrastructure. This resulted in our JV being awarded a number of KZN Government projects. As a learning organization, we quickly amassed to erect the steel frame structure. By 2O1O, Legna had matured sufficiently to a point where it could stand on its own and were awarded a R27m project to build Early Childhood Development Centres (ECD’S), ablution facilities and classrooms in various KZN schools.

We  converted the standard brick and mortar designs to LSF and  delivered the project. In 2012 Legna  developed and tested a new alternative building system where  fibre cement boards were replaced by concrete infill because the  market demanded a solid wall. This system has been accredited  by Agrement Accreditation in 2014. Legna is now going upstream  towards the manufacturing of steel frames and is in the process  of acquiring the necessary equipment to do this.
